Poll question: It has been revealed that Pres. Obama stonewalled an inquiry
Edited on Thu Dec-02-10 12:18 AM by Subdivisions
by Spain into one george w. bush for the crime of torture which he admitted in his book that he ordered.

Does President Obama have any right or any business interfering in the investigation by another soveriegn country into the crimes of george w. bush and his henchmen?

7. A bunch of articles in this thread.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x9663640

They threatened Spain. They tried to get it shut down. They tried to manipulate the judge and the prosecutors in the case.

And that's just the Bush torture case. They also did the same thing with the investigation into the shelling death of a Spanish journalist at the Palestine Hotel and an investigation of the wrongful rendition and torture of another individual.

Not good.

13. Then why even care then to vote, we are going down the tubes
so why even get worked up about it. Let the republicans have their way.
At least we will get stabbed in the front and know who is doing it.

Less stress that way.

11. Funny how the U.S. will go after another country's leaders in a red-hot second. But let
another country come after one of ours and it's "Oooohhhh, no! Can't touch this!"

12. Not really.
The Spanish should be incensed at the threat to the sovereignty of their courts.
