if a Republican beats Obama in 2012, will the media still be harping on the debt?
Don't get me wrong. The national debt is a huge and stupid problem.

It just seems that the media only notice it when we have a Democratic president.

GOP doesn't care about spending except to set up the Democratic party for demonizing.

Standard conservative anti-New Deal strategy of several generations.

And the only time anybody has a problem with earmarks is when Democrats control Congress, particularly when a Republican is in the White House.
