You realize, these TSA x-ray machines are nothing more then a con job
These new x-ray machines are not all that reliable, missing many explosive substances. Their is however something that is proven 100% reliable. bomb sniffing dogs. But since there is a boat load of money to be made by the elites on this x-ray boondoggle you'll never see the logical, sensible happen. So if you think this is really about your traveling safety think again. This is ALL about making a buck and throwing in a little fear and control in for good measure.

4. Excellent ratio of detection to false alarms (positives and negatives)
I would like to know what "excellent" translates to in hard numbers.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with your post, but I know for an absolute fact dogs are not 100% in finding anything. I know that drug dogs have about a 55% false positive rate though, hardly a glowing endorsement to protect us from unwarranted search and seizure.

5. Here's the key: Michael Chertoff. It's a scam. Big time.
Fact: Michael Chertoff owns a security consulting firm, The Chertoff Group.

Fact: A prominent client of The Chertoff Group is Rapiscan, the company that
manufactures the full-body scanning machines used in the airports.

Important to note: There are two companies that manufacture these full-body x-ray
machines. Rapiscan, and L-3 Communications. Our government has purchased at least
at least 200 of these machines. The government purchased $25 million worth of the
machines last summer.

Nice little payoff, huh? The elites, the criminals and the greedmongers are using
our government as their own little enrichment playground. Plain and simple. That's
what all of this is about.

There are many sources for this information, here is one of them:

6. What ever happened to those "puffer" machines that sniffed for explosives
I remember walking through them a few times at the airport.

They just disappeared... Did the government get a refund? I think not.

8. They would only be a con job, if you
were foolish enough to think that they are only looking for explosives, but no one is that dumb...

However; in my opinion they are to invasive and really should not be on the front line of screening, regardless of the Administrations claims (a few of which concerning these machines, have already been proven false).
