Understanding John McCain...
Interpreting the content of anything John McCain has ever said is neatly summed up by this Gary Larson cartoon.

1. That's an old cartoon...
Mid-80's?

And ever since I first saw it, every time a dog barks at me I look at it and say "Hey! Hey, hey, hey!"
They always look at me kinda funny...

5. With McCain...

4. Have a little compassion, cancha?
Do you know how difficult it is for John Sidney McCain III to straddle the political considerations on the one hand with what he knows to be right on the other? Sure, in the past, Sen. SixSevenEighthouses has been on record as supporting repeal of DADT. But that was before it became such a tricky political question, and his phoney-baloney job was in jeopardy. Now he has to be all against it and stuff, and it puts him right off his meds, even with the fawning adoration of the media chuckleheads calling him Sen. Straighttalk and the Original Maverick.
