I'm so pi**ed! Just heard that the Fed not only bailed out the banks |
|
both American & Foreign, BUT they also bailed out Vorison, General Electric, and a few other businesses! So the guy who started all this outsourcing sh*t (Jack Welsh) also had the damn business he ran bailed out with OUR TAX DOLLARS!
On to of all of that, the damn Pubs want to "let them keep more of THEIR money! Well, fine, I'll go along with that as soon as they've all paid bak the THREE TRILLION DOLLARS that we gave THEM!

But I hope you already know that.

Apparently, you're not willing to be honest about it.
You posted to me:
"Contact Treasury (including the IRS) before you tell me that the Fed gives tax breaks."
I never said that, and wouldn't. You made it up and then attacked it.
That the FED helped financially large global corps is a fact. I never even spoke of taxes or the IRS, so as I said, try to be honest instead of making things up.

You don't seem to have any knowledge of economics, finance, the stock market, politics, banking, or writing, so there's not much point in my continuing to engage you. The thread will reflect you make things up, and when called on it, make up more stories to cover that.

|
Edited on Thu Dec-02-10 09:24 PM by BadGimp
The federal Reserve is a private bank right? They can do what the hell they want with their money right?
I know the Fed somehow was granted the ability to control interest rates, but I was not under the impression they could spend tax dollars.
What am I missing here?

30. Calling the Fed "private" is misleading |
|
There is some private capital brought to the table, but if your mission statement is defined by Congress, and your CEO is appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate, and can call him to account for all of his actions, you're not remotely "private".

As I understand it (and I ask for correction and clarification) the Fed conjures deposits to favored institutions and recipients via computer entry. These amounts are then loaned to whatever. Is this not a bit like the story of "loaves and fishes?" From literally some 0's & 1's in a computer (virtual reality,) legal tender is thereby "created" and thus actual people are made debtors to the Fed and its pals, who receive the legal tender (reality) proffered for repayment to Fed and its pals, and who then have actual money with which to buy elections, politicians, third and fourth luxury digs around the world ad nauseam. Isn't this a true description of the process? Or am I just too tired to "get it?"

32. K&R. I hesitate to even mention it, for fear of causing you real damage, |
|
but the $$$ is only a small part of what the Fed and Treasury did for them.
From legalizing fraud to putting the U.S. taxpayers on the hook for virtually infinite money*, both this and the previous administration have literally abdicated governance to corporations. It is impossible to overstate how completely fucked we are.
It's going to take several years for most of this to filter down, but in short, without a worldwide collapse and reset/redefinition of money and finance, a handful of interests own the world and everybody on it.
