I Want To Say Something Nice About Congressperson Peter King (R)
He was one of four House Republicans to vote against the impeachment of Bill Clinton and one of two Republicans to vote against the censure of Charlie Rangel.

At least there is one merciful Republican who realizes mercy is part and parcel of justice.

1. We can count that as 1 merciful act in Peter King's life.
And it's probably because he's got a skeleton in his own closet.

2. I Have Watched His Career A Long Time
He buys into all the Republican shibboleths, for sure, but I think he does that because he believes they will work and not because he wants to screw the little guy.

6. I Think There Is An Intellectual Argument To Be Made For Small Government
I disagree with that argument, quite strenuously. And I need to know what the person making it means by "small" but that doesn't mean the person making it is a bad person.

4. I Wanted The Reprimand
But King was the only Republican member of the NY delegation who voted against censure.

7. He's Bi-Polar Crazy
He's one of those who plays both sides of the street...like the old time pols. While he's one of the rare "reasonable" rushpublicans he's also one who won't hesitate to take a cheap shot or pander to the teabaggers. Wasn't he one of Kurt Weldon's "Able Baker" buddies...so are those nukes still in Syria, Pete?
