Fox isn't run on a business model, at least not the traditional business model you'd expect from a media outlet. Fox is there, like the Washington Times, to catapult the propaganda, not to make a buck. Rupert Murdoch has so many sources of income and so much financial leverage, that like the fictional Charles Foster Kane, he can lose millions a year, every year, and get around to worrying about it . . . in about 60 years.
Ratings don't matter to Fox, unless they win, then they'll crow about it from here to St. Swithins Day.
