Venezuela Protects Home Buyers From Fraud
Construction and real estate companies have been selling to-be-built homes and apartments to the public, then not transferring ownership even when the the buyers have paid all of the originally agreed price. They were apparently holding them back to sell at a higher price to others. In some case, they have sold the same houses or apartments to several different buyers. The Chavez government has responded by expropriating the companies involved and transferring ownership or re-payments to the defrauded buyers.

The Chavez administration is guaranteeing housing rights to homebuyers suffering from fraud and real estate scams In response to mass real estate scams perpetuated by several private corporations that have affected thousands of innocent homebuyers, the Venezuelan government is guaranteeing property rights and ensuring that victims get justice. Dozens of fraudulent real estate companies have been expropriated in recent weeks after their billion-dollar scams were exposed by government investigators working together with those affected. All homes purchased are being handed over to their rightful owners.

Free market leaders (like ours) only allow expropriations BY banks. :patriot:

Do you know how many Cubans lost their homes in the economic downturn? Zero. That rat bastard Castro!
;)

Edit: The same applies to their health care coverage and education. Not one Cuban cut.

4. I do wish we had a good leader in the US, as good as Hugo Chavez is!
But WE DON'T. We have corporation ass-kissers who want to get re-elected and to hell with the needs of the people.

We have an ideology that says if you are rich it's because you worked hard, when in reality the truth is that you are rich because you are a thief, a con artist, overpriced your goods and generally screwed people at every opportunity. All rich people are criminals and should be jailed. There is no truth to the idiotic belief in America that these ripoff artists got where they are due to "hard work."

Viva Chavez! May we one day have a leader like him!

6. Seriously! I wish our Democracy protected us so well.
Government "of the people, by the people, for the people," you would think it would be the purpose of our government to help us in the same or similar ways.

3. This is what should be happening here in the US
goes to show the massive contrast between a socialistic democracy (left leaning) and our version of a supposed "democracy"(right leaning fascist).
