Dennis Prager upset that "F*** You" got a Grammy nomination

he's a RW radio guy, for people who don't know. His schtick is over-the-top pomposity and self-righteousness, and he's applying it right now to the Cee-Lo Green song.

He's saying stuff like, "civilizations don't collapse overnight" and "there will always be barbarians, but a healthy civilization condemns the barbarians", and of course he has to share his concern for the black community and the damage this song will do to them.

What really got me was when he said we no longer differentiate the "ugly" from the "uplifting". I just listened to the song, and I can't think of a better word for the song than "uplifting", and Prager's denunciation of it is pretty ugly.

I still remember him complaining about the downfall of civilization when James Cameron yelled "I'm King of the World!" after Titanic won the Academy Award. The fact that he was referring to the movie (which Prager never saw, but still railed against) was besides the point.

His most-common schtick is railing against the immorality of people who fight second-hand smoke when there are other (to him) more-important things to complain about (As you may have guessed, he is a smoker).

I remember hearing THAT rant while I was on my way to say good-bye to my mother in the hospital for lung cancer
(I can't say she had never smoked a day in her life. She smoked for two days in 1944. She died in 1999).
