To those legislators who say THE UNEMPLOYED NEVER HIRED ANYBODY: |
|
Edited on Fri Dec-03-10 08:50 PM by Toucano
Who the hell do you think hired you?
(We know who they think they work for, but I'd like someone to ask them so I can at least what them dance.)

5. ... It is we who plowed the prairies; built the cities where they trade; |
|
Dug the mines and built the workshops, endless miles of railroad laid; Now we stand outcast and starving midst the wonders we have made ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYiKdJoSsb8

7. Their trucks tear up the highways that americans pay for. If it was just cars on the road, |
|
the highways would not be torn up nearly as fast.

9. Well said. Of course, they know who hired them--wealthy contributors. |
|
It wasn't the unemployed.

10. Wealthy contributors only have one vote. |
|
The people hire the representatives to represent the people.
Many of those people are unemployed.
2 plus 2 still equals four.

11. The unemployed are part of demand, when they have benefits. |
|
Without demand, the 'boss' becomes jobless too. That's reality. The RW should take a look at reality someday. Maybe then, we could stop living in crises of our own making.
The power to hire and fire doesn't mean shit without demand paying the PROFIT they love so much. How many of these RW business-owning jackasses sell only to the rich? Whose dollars do they think they take in every day? Without those dollars, they are TOAST.
They will unemployed next. And they will be the biggest whiners of all, having caused it all for everyone. And no doubt, they will be shocked at the total lack of sympathy they will get.
Clueless.

14. You can see that in some of the early Michael Moore movies... |
|
The "The Big One" and "Roger & Me"...the people defending "the company" end up without a job, too.
Actually, it might be cool if he went back and found some of those people and interviewed them now.
White collar or blue, we're just human "resources".

13. It's silly, because it is not necessarily true |
|
They might have hired someone back when they were employed. Ridiculous. They are trying to pretend there was no recession.
