Diplomatic correspondence is sacrosanct because of treaties and then violate the Geneva convention and torture people. You cannot pick and choose which international treaties you will and will not follow.

I heard on BBC this morning that one of the leaks shows that the Yemen government agreed to allow the US to attack countries while they would take the blame.
