Torture? Nah, we know that happened. Renditions? Old news.

What would surprise me? If Assuange could show documents that proved the U.S. was TRYING to end the wars, THAT would surprise me.

Wars are ran by the people who profit from them. They are fought by the people who believe in principle. Never the twain shall meet.

I would like to see some contractors taken down, like the pussy who runs Blackwater. But, what else could they reveal? We already know they kill people illegally and steal money from our government and use it to get even more contracts by greasing the palms of war hawks. That alone deserves a hanging.

Documents proving contact has been made with space aliens and the cannibals who are destroying Earth for profit (the same people you speak of who run wars for profit) are doing so because now they have somewhere else to go when it's too late for the rest of us.

Deep Throat didn't take Nixon down alone...it was the tapes that did. It was hearing Tricky Dick in his own voice telling Haldermann and Erlichman to "Stonewall it". It can't be hearsay or cables from worker ants that requires people (especially our corrupt corporate media) to connect the dots and follow the money. They just won't do it. But get an audio of boooooshie ordering torture or cheney on the phone talking about outting Valerie Plame and you have the dynamite that will get attention and credibility.

As for me...nothing surprises. I feared the worst during the previous regime and my "expectations" were exceeded many times over. What those cables revealed weren't earthshattering for those who were paying attention to the undercurrents of foreign affairs. It justified, but that's little solice as the appetite in this country...especially this current government is to "look forward" and try to protect their own power through not investigating (or even obstructing) in the crimes of the previous regime.
