The Christmas Compromise-Tax Cuts For Unemployment Insurance Benefits |
|
Edited on Sat Dec-04-10 07:36 AM by DemocratSinceBirth
It looks like we are going to get an extension of all the Bush* tax cuts in exchange for a one year increase in unemployment insurance benefits. Might as well give the greedy their tax breaks to help the needy make it through 011. Eventually we will all be in the ditch together.

1. Sad to say we are already in the ditch but the wealthy will never be |

in the ditch because as this country deteriorates they will just fly off to Europe or some south pacific island somewhere and leave all of their devastation behind. So we won't be in it together, thats for sure.

2. Perhaps The Uber Wealthy Will Escape The Whirlwind |

But there are a lot of near wealthy who are barely hanging on.
I predict that's the ultimate compromise. I really don't see an alternate scenario. Tax cuts for everybody and unemployment insurance for the unemployed. Might as well do it and get it out of the way.

5. The same alternative that we've had since 2008, |
|
Fucking stand up and fight! Again and again the Democratic leadership has caved, to the point where now the 'Pugs think that a cave will happen on the most outrageous of issues. As an unemployed teacher, I would rather see the Dems fight back than once again cave. If they're caving when they're in the majority, how worse is it going to be when they're out of power? Oh, yeah, we already saw that movie, Democratic minorities from 2000-2006 that didn't fight either.
Fight the bastards, that's the only way we're going to have any sort of progress.

6. What Would You Say To Someone With A Family |

What would you say to someone with a young family to whom the only thing that stands between them and being homeless is a unemployment check.

I am unemployed now for three years, some fights are worth fighting. How would this country be here without fighting and do the right thing? I quess quitting is the way out every time, giving in to haters, and liars. Stand up and fight like a man and do what you promised in your McDonalds commercial campaign. Quit being a quitter, they always lose!!!!
I have been thinking lately, what site am I on, Republican Underground?
