4. Unemployment benefits
I promised Sen. Chambliss I would post this message. For all those whose UI benefits are about to expire, I would suggest you go to my web site at nolp.blogspot.com/ to easily find your Congressional district, representatives and their contact information and send this message to them as soon as possible. A "thank you" note to Sen. Chambliss or to Sen. Brown, or both, would not be out of place either.

CONGRATULATIONS TO:

U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., for co-sponsoring legislation to extend emergency unemployment insurance benefits. Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass. introduced the bill.

In keeping with Congressional Republicans insistence on identifying the funds necessary to pay for such a reauthorization, Sen. Chambliss has suggested that said legislation would be fully funded for 13-months through the use of unspent discretionary federal funding.

My source is U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss' own web site.

8. I Don't Give A Rat's Ass Where The Money Comes From
If I was God or the king I wouldn't let one American person/family starve, go homeless, beg, freeze to death brcause their unemployment insurance benefits lapse.

9. I agree that unemployment benefits should be given.
But the stimulus money should be used for its intention - to create jobs so that some of the unemployed can be employed. I cannot stand it when the Republicans try to defeat good programs in a fake attempt to show they care for the unemployed.

7.  Just Turned It On
Heard Lindsey Graham and now Schumer. Why don't the Dems just tell the facts since Reagan.

1. Trickle down doesn't work!

2. The rich haven't paid taxes in the last ten years and small businesses aren't growing.

3. The deficit wasn't important under Bush when he constantly borrowed from China.

If every Dem stood up and started their speech with those three items, what would the Republicans say?
