A Real Hero..
src="" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5546835864335116994" /></a>

It never ceases to amaze me when I see the reaction of news pundits and the political whores whenever someone comes out with the truth about something. They NEVER refute the actual truth expounded. They simply go after the person or organization which has exposed that truth for all to see. It's no different now with what we see happening regarding the WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, who exposed the incredible and complete hypocrisy surrounding our foreign policy and true feelings regarding other countries including our so called allies.

The shrieks and howls of feigned indignation rose to an incredible pitch and are still continuing as I write this. No, it doesn't matter how corrupt and misguided our government really is - something I've known for decades from my own personal experience while serving in both the military and public sectors of it. Billions of dollars going down the tubes by way of bribes in Afghanistan mean nothing. Contempt for countries like France and Germany who have been our staunch allies doesn't bring a peep of concern from the pundits.

The only thing that matters is that Mr. Assange had the incredible courage to expose the hypocrisy of this country, once more. The howls from the cesspool of politicians have been incredible.

I worry about Mr. Assange regarding his safety and future. I think we should rise up and do whatever we have to in order to protect people like him who have the courage to speak out on behalf of millions of us who don't really have a voice regarding the true nature of the beast - America...

24. Good ole George..
Yeah, he's right. Ironically George's great work, 1984, came to my mind over and over during the dictatorship of the other George that we all experienced prior to the little George coming along with 'change and hope' which turns out to be 'same ole crap'. Just like Orwell's book taught us over and over - up is down, war is peace, et. al.

2. Rise up?
I don't think the American people still have "Rise Up" in their DNA.

The ruling class was careful to select that trait out when they were breeding the current flock of sheople.

4. But history tells us
that it's always been a minority of the populace who have caused the necessary changes in a country. Examples - our own American Revolution had at the most, 20% of the people taking up arms against the British. The Soviet revolution of 1918, if my memory recalls, consisted only about 18% of the people.

Yes, the majority will always be lazy, lethargic, apathetic. But my comments and videos were never meant for them, only the minority of us with brains.

25. I hope that's true, and I keep encouraging economic revolt
If that 20% you mention did something as simple as stop all discretionary (nonessential) spending, and took that money out of circulation, I think it could have a noticable effect on the economy.

26. We've been working on that
I think much of the country is already doing that and businesses are retaliating by not hiring anyone. It's just a premise on my part but nothing else makes sense. My wife and I have been talking about trying to organize something regarding the credit card fraud being perpetuated on all of us - something like having a not pay a specific credit card in a specific month type of thing. The problem is that we'd have to get enough people to do it all at once for it to be effective.

7. I was gonna
hit back with a snarky reply about your obvious naivety in asking 'they do?' but I saw your little 'sarcasm' button at the bottom and can only assume you're just messing with me or at least, trying to mess with me.. LOL

<snip>

#Stanley Adams, a former Hoffmann-LaRoche executive, who discovered evidence of price fixing in 1973. He passed the evidence to the European Economic Community, who erroneously leaked Adams' name back to Hoffman-LaRoche. Adams was arrested for industrial espionage by the Swiss government and spent six months in jail. He fought for ten years to clear his name and receive compensation from the EEC.

<snip>

#Shawn Carpenter, a former member of the technical staff at Sandia National Laboratories, who discovered that a sophisticated group of hackers were systematically penetrating hundreds of computer networks at major U.S. defense contractors, military installations and government agencies to access sensitive information. After informing his superiors at Sandia, he was directed not to share the information with anyone, because management cared only about Sandia's computers. He, however, went on to voluntarily work with the U.S. Army and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to address the problem. When Sandia discovered his actions, they terminated his employment and revoked his security clearance. His story was first reported in the September 5, 2005, issue of Time. On February 13, 2007, a New Mexico State Court awarded him $4.7 million in damages from Sandia Corporation for firing him. The jury found Sandia Corporation's handling of Mr. Carpenter's firing was "malicious, willful, reckless, wanton, fraudulent, or in bad faith."

<snip>

# Sibel Edmonds, a former FBI translator naturalized American citizen of Turkish descent who was fired in 2002 by the FBI for attempting to report coverups of security issues, potential espionage, and incompetence. She has been gagged by the State Secrets Privilege in her efforts to go to court on these issues, including a rejection recently by the Supreme Court of the United States to hear her case without comment. She is now founder of the National Security Whistleblowers Coalition (NSWBC) that is looking to lobby congress and help other whistleblowers with legal and other forms of assistance.

# Daniel Ellsberg, a former State Department analyst who leaked the Pentagon Papers in 1971, a secret account of the Vietnam War and its pretexts to The New York Times, which revealed endemic practices of deception by previous administrations, and contributed to the erosion of public support for the war.

<snip>

# Myron Mehlman, a toxicologist who in 1989 warned managers at Mobil that the company's gasoline that was being sold in Japan contained benzene in excess of 5 percent, and that levels needed to be reduced. Upon his return to the United States, he was fired. He later successfully sued the company.<13>

<snip>

#William Sanjour, a whistleblower at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for over 20 years who also wrote on whistleblower protection issues.<21> He won a landmark law suit against the federal government which established the First Amendment rights of federal employees to "blow the whistle" on their employer.

9. Living Dangerously!
I agree Raoul.
The people he's offended can have him "taken out" literally with the stroke of a pen!
There are already a number of loud fascist voices in the US calling for his murder . . .
I certainly wouldn't feel safe if I were him but I hope he continues doing what he's doing for *all* our sakes!
May he live a long and productive life.

it hasn't happened yet but if he goes through with exposing the banksters, the real owners of our country, then all bets are off.

is that TPTB know Asasnge has info that could bring down the banks, and in no way can the banksters be exposed.

15. I had a problem
with bringing that picture over here. The first attempt wound up with 2 pictures along with all of the embedded code required to post them. I edited out most of the code but still wound up with some code being posted along with the picture. Can you or anyone else advise how to get around this for future essays? Thanks.

14. I haven't forgotten about him.
In fact, the video we make next Friday will be dedicated to him because, as a former military person with a top secret clearance, I know exactly what he's going through and what they're capable of doing to him.

17. Young American Hero!
Yes, Bradley Manning *is* a hero in every sense of the word!
The fact that he's *still* languishing in prison is a sad reflection on the POTUS who stirred our emotions with his pre-election rhetoric.
Now, of course, it's back to business as usual . . .
