how hard would it freaking be for the Obama administration |
|
for them to say
screw the Bush tax cuts...let them all go...
WHY do they want to even be associated with BUSH tax cuts for the rich? Why? are they not screaming this with all the White House talking heads?
Let them freaking expire.
And then pass a small middle class ONLY tax cut.

1. Because Obama rolls like that. Not cause he's forced to, not because the idea never occurred to him |
|
He is doing what he wants. Continued viewing in any other context, nomatter how ugly the alternative perspective is, is going to lead to a cognitive dissonance which will rattle your head until your ears fall off.
The revolutionary turned out to be a Company Man.

12. And if there's some alternative viewpoint which also jives with his behavior I'm... |
|
...desperate to hear it!
This is going to be a fucked up two more years otherwise!

2. What if they don't want to have them go away but just want to look like they want it |
|
Wouldn't that look just like it looks?

3. they did that not too long ago |
|
when Bush was president, they voted nearly unanimously against his tax cuts.
Now Bush is out of office and we're being told it's UNTHINKABLE for Bush's tax cuts to expire on schedule.

4. It sounds good to me, but I'm not sure the Republicans would vote for a middle |
|
class only tax cut. That's essentially what they voted down today. That's what I'm thinking, but I may be wrong.

9. So the M$M could claim for the next two years that "Obama raised |
|
taxes on the middle class." I'm pretty sure they have a grasp on things like that. There is no way to let those middle class tax cuts expire.
