"Today, Republicans Voted To Raise Taxes On People"
Edited on Sat Dec-04-10 11:34 AM by KingOfLostSouls
Today, republicans came out in support of selling our children's future to China by preserving the gigantic deficit.

that's the way it should be going down.

5. Well, you know the old saying...
You ride with POLITICAL OUTLAWS, You die with POLITICAL OUTLAWS....

Any Politician that votes to raise the deficit needlessly, is of my voting list and any one that I convince to join me!!!

3. It gives them one more weapon to use in 2012
They will proclaim that the taxes went up under Democratic rule and namely that Obama raised your taxes.

If they are not working for the betterment of the rich, they are working to destroy the Democrats and more importantly a Democrat in the White House and with that Democrat in the White House being a black man they are working overtime.

9. This is EXTREMELY bad PR for repubs
Edited on Sat Dec-04-10 11:49 AM by groundloop
I was watching local news this morning (coming out of Atlanta) and they broke the debate down to the fact that Democrats want to retain tax cuts for middle America, and repugs wanted to extend tax cuts for the wealthy. Now I don't normally watch local news, just don't have the time to be in front of a television very often, but it really struck me that people (especially "independant voters" who don't closely follow politics) have to be getting a really really bad taste in their mouth hearing that republicons are fighting for the wealthy. As pissed off as I've gotten lately at the Democratic leadership about this (even though realistically there's not much they can do when Senate rules let 42 be greater than 58) my gut tells me that this is going to come back and bite the repugs in the ass HUGE.

10. Last night
The local news caster failed to make the point as to "WHO" it was that had stopped unemployment extensions from going through, or who was stopping middle class tax cuts, he just said it was "stalled" in congress! What an ass!

I think as someone else mentioned in another thread, democrats need to be calling news conferences daily to keep it out in front just who it really is who is stopping everything! They should be on all the talk shows tomorrow blasting republicans for lying about the tax cuts creating new jobs! They need to show the people that the republicans don't care about them, they only care about taking down Obama, and helping the rich! Democrats need to start taking control of the conversation and keep on the offense against the republicans from ow till 2012! Stand up to the bastards and knock them on their ass!
