One reason Pelosi's popularity has surged here - she's lost clout |
|
When you have the power of the majority, people have unrealistic expectations. When clout is reduced, they settle for rhetoric.
Nancy hasn't changed. Her position and the way she's viewed here has.

4. So her fundamental beliefs changed? |
|
How can it be she's so much more popular now?

This meme might be valid when power is actually lost.
Aka: next month.

I remember how vilified she was here 4 years ago when she took impeachment off the table (which would have been a hopeless endeavor).

Ms Pelosi's popularity has improved because we agree with what she is saying now. It was down before because we disagreed with what she was saying then. Is that so illogical?

15. Not really. The other Dems are too conservative except the members |
|
of the Progressive caucus. And I will always hold impeachment is off the table against her. However, she's about the best we've got to battle both Republicans and their counterparts in the Democratic Party.

18. I never really cared for Pelosi but I have supported her always because she has more balls then any |
|
of her male courterparts and twice as much as Obama. I say you go girl. She is doing the job she was suppose to do from the beginning. Thank god we have a liberal and not one of those f**cking blue dog democratics who are shills for corporate america just like the republicans are.

19. I made a similiar observation some months ago. |
|
That the more popular politicians here are those that can't be expected to do much because of the position they currently hold. But once they do get into a position of great influence, the good folks turn on him or her and toss them under the bus for failing to accomplish the impossible.

They made a lot of promises and took a lot of people's money. They have nothing to whine about.
