Iranian Press TV Offers Misleading Journalism regarding a Lewis-McChord Soldier....
Below are three articles regarding this matter, and these articles do not seem to indicate that Staff Sgt. Stevens murdered or wounded anyone:

Lewis-McChord soldier pleads guilty, will testify
Afghan killings: Medic to serve 9 months, be demoted

ADAM ASHTON; Staff writer | Published December 02, 2010

A combat medic pleaded guilty Wednesday to shooting at unarmed Afghans and lying to officers to cover his tracks, giving the Army the first conviction in its probe of Stryker soldiers who allegedly murdered civilians during their recent deployment to Afghanistan.

Staff Sgt. Robert Stevens will serve nine months in a military prison without pay and be demoted to private. He’ll be allowed to stay in the Army even though prosecutors wanted him discharged.
...
He’s in position to provide crucial testimony against Staff Sgt. Calvin Gibbs, who allegedly plotted to kill Afghan civilians and persuaded his comrades to help him execute the scenarios. Gibbs, 25, is accused of murdering three noncombatants between January and May during patrols from Forward Operating Base Ramrod.

Stevens pleaded guilty to four crimes: two counts of making false statements, dereliction of duty in keeping an “off the books” grenade, aggravated assault by shooting at the unarmed Afghans and wrongfully engaging in conduct likely to harm other soldiers. The Army dropped a charge that he participated in a conspiracy to harm Afghans.

Soldier to face court martial for alleged role in sport killings
November 29, 2010|By the CNN Wire Staff

...

The alleged killings took place at or near Forward Operating Base Ramrod in southern Afghanistan's volatile Kandahar province.

In June, the five were charged with murder. Holmes was accused of killing Afghan civilian Gul Mudin in January with a grenade and a rifle. Winfield is accused of killing civilian Mullah Adahdad in May in a similar manner. Wagnon is accused of shooting to death Marach Agha in February.

Morlock and Gibbs each were charged with three counts of murder and one count of assault involving the same victims as in the cases against Holmes, Wagnon and Winfield.

Morlock and Holmes have faced preliminary hearings to determine if enough evidence exists for a court martial, but military officials have yet to render a decision.

US soldier Robert Stevens jailed for Afghan attacks
2 December 2010 Last updated at 02:42 ET

A US Army staff sergeant has been jailed for attacks on Afghan civilians as part of a deal which requires him to give evidence against other soldiers.

Robert Stevens was sentenced to nine months in prison and demoted after he admitted "shooting in the direction" of two Afghans, and lying to officials.

Prosecutors at his court martial dropped a count of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault on three Afghan men.

Sgt Stevens is one of 12 soldiers charged over the attacks on civilians.

An Iranian press source is worth looking at, but its slant on the proceedings is seems obvious: the first two sentences of the Press TV report are false according to the other sources presented in this reply to the OP. Lastly, please note that I am not defending this soldier's actions; I am only pointing out that he is not one of those on trial for actually murdering civilians. Thus, he does not admit to "sport killing" in spite of the Press TV headline.

US soldier admits to sport killing
Thu Dec 2, 2010 6:43AM

A US military court has spared an American soldier from an early discharge from the US Army after he admitted to shooting unarmed Afghan civilians for fun.

Staff Sergeant Robert Stevens, 25, an Army medic from the State of Oregon, was only sentenced to nine months in prison on Wednesday for killing Afghan civilians, after pleading guilty.

He confessed to opening fire on two Afghan farmers in March 2010 for no apparent reason. He and other US troops were acting on orders from a squad leader during a patrol in March, Reuters reported.

The case began as an investigation into hashish use among US soldiers who were part of an infantry unit then known as the 5th Stryker Brigade. But the investigation has grown into the most serious prosecution of alleged atrocities by US military personnel in nearly nine years of conflict in war-torn Afghanistan.

It would be interesting to know if there is more information available on this story - preferably from sources other than those already used above.
