If you have a few bucks to spare...

Call your local school and ask for the social worker. There are so many families nearby who are in need.

This will be the third year my family has foregone gifts for one another to provide a bit of happiness for a family in need.

It has been completely anonymous. We are given the first names of the children, along with their clothing sizes, and general interests. The gifts are from "Santa".

Last year, we learned that one of our families included a mother who was living in a hotel with her three children.

My family is not wealthy, by any means. But, we have so much compared to others.

It doesn't have to cost a lot...even a $10. grocery certificate would be appreciated.

Think about it.

3. Your thougtfulness brought tears to my eyes
What a kind soul you are.

I'll do this, too. I get so caught up in saving the planet that I forget, one by one is the way.

Thanks

4. My department at work did that with a local school, We adopted 30 kids!
Each had very basic requests like clothes and shoes, and basically were encouraged to ask for one special gift. Most wanted something like a Toy Story toy or a doll. Just regular kid-wishes.
