Reid: "It's time Republicans realize, like Charlie Brown and Lucy, that we're on the same team."
We need Democrats who believe they are NOT on the same team as the Republicans.

<edit>

So Democrats said, let's vote. But Republicans, Reid said, forced Democrats to invoke procedural rules that required the Saturday votes.

"It's time Republicans realize, like Charlie Brown and Lucy, that we're on the same team," Reid said.

Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., wasn't about to let such rhetoric go unanswered. Why, he asked, is the Senate even considering tax cuts favored by the Democrats, when they know full well that they can't get the 60 votes needed for debate?

"Ultimately," Kyl said, "they'll have to negotiate with us."

. . . with it's conclusion that 'were on the same team'. If he had said we're going to kick 'Lucy's ass he might have made a credible analogy. He is Charlie Brown.

4. I Don't Think So!
Mr. Reid, it is time the Democrats realize we're not on the same team. What nonsense. Are we going to get a new Democratic leader?

6. Fresh off his scorched earth campaign against Angle
Reid dons his fluffy bunny suit and enjoys some well deserved downtime in the Senate. 6 worry-free restful years should be enough to recharge his batteries for the next go-round.
