I have a serious question for those of you who are total Administration supporters |
|
Do you support a Bush-era tax cut compromise by the President instead of just letting them expire? And if you do, why?

1. I don't consider myself a "total Administration supporter" |
|
but I think the tax cuts should expire.

7. Well, I support him on some things, so I'm not either |
|
and you KNOW what my answer to my own question would be.
I think back to the days of Monty Python, 'I want to have an argument'.....

2. I do not support EVERYTHING Obama does, but I support him. . . |
|
However, I do not support a compromise re: Bush tax cuts. I would rather pay more in tax myself than have the top 2% continue to receive that huge tax break.
The country needs the money to pay back the deficit AND to help people in need, especially the unemployed.

that I don't agree with. That said, the Obama Administration is legitimate. The President speaks well for the people, though not as clearly for himself as I would like. The Bush Regimes both, were not legitimate. They began much of the foolishness that the Obama Administration has been forced by a toadying and corrupt elite to accept. The key thing I wish is that Obama would be more focused, in stating his thoughts and in communicating his understanding of what others are thinking.

The legislation was written such that they should expire. We should give the conservatives some of their own "original intent" back. To make such a tax structure into a tradition will rob this government of much of the flexibility it needs.

but I more often than not support the president. Personally I think all the tax cuts should expire but I am practical enough to recognize that if Obama lets this happen it will seal his fate as a one-termer. It would be a huge gift to Republicans and personal political suicide for the president.

8. I can see those who admonish us for not being loyal enough won't answer the question |

or even stop by.
But I knew that would be the case.

10. I think the problem is that they have Obama between |
|
a rock and a hard place.
He is concerned about the middle class not getting a tax cut and unemployment.
The Congress will not give him that. Period.
He has to barter for it.
