I know how to keep money out of politics
Have everyone in the government take a vow of poverty. Take all their assets and put them into a sovereign wealth fund while they are in office. Give them a stipend, housing in DC, transportation to district and back...

-No bribes from lobbyists
-No making money of policy choices

2. Gave me an idea too.
Any political donation over $100, tax the hell out of it. That'd sure stop the wealthy from donating.

3. Explain to me the part about millionaires taking a vow of poverty.
I really want to understand.

4. We just don't vote for anyone who won't do it
They would be millionaires after leaving office. However, while they are in office their assets are held in a sovereign wealth fund.

5. Well there's a group called voters for peace
who won't vote for anyone who isn't totally opposed to funding and supporting wars. Unfortunately there aren't that many candidates who fit that profile and there aren't enough peace voters to get the ones that do fit that profile elected.
