The idea that trees have a positive effect on health has been around a while, but it is one that is hard to measure.

A Dutch study suggests every 10% increase in green space can postpone health complaints in communities by five years. And a US study is regularly cited to suggest patients that have a view of nature through hospital windows recover better after surgery.

1. Here in Caswell Cty NC we are seeing the forests
being clear cut so the timber can be shipped to China then returned as finished furniture..when the factories used to be here and the jobs that they generated of course.

I enjoy all the stages of a tree. Spring and autumn being my favorite.

11. I think I'd prefer to wait 'til spring. If I hugged one of my trees today,
I'd get a bunch of snow dumped on my head and down my neck from all the weighed down, snow-laden branches. Brrrrr...
