Palin: I'm Not Running For RNC Chair

http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/12/sarah-palin-im-not-running-for-rnc-chair.php

Sorry, Tea Party Nation: Sarah Palin will not be replacing Michael Steele at the helm of the Republican National Committee. This morning, Tea Party Nation leader Judson Phillips called on Palin to take the reins at the RNC, for fear that it may fall into "establishment" hands after the 168 voting members of the committee convene to choose a chair in January.

This afternoon, Palin gave ABC News her answer to Phillips' request: not interested.

Palin's statement to the network:

I respect the desire to have someone in charge of the RNC who understands the wishes of the conservative grassroots and understands that power resides with the people and not the vested interests in DC. However, the primary role of the RNC chair seems be that of fundraiser-in-chief, and there are others who would probably be much more comfortable asking people for money than I would be, and they would definitely enjoy it more.:spray:

Palin is now among the few Republicans in the country to say she isn't running for RNC chair, a race where the field of candidates is growing by the day.

2. If she grifted for the RNC she'd have to share the money.
Watch her run as a tea-bagger party candidate so she can keep all the fruits of her grifting.

8. There it is.
If she's going to go to all the trouble to show up somewhere and run her mouth for 45 minutes that money is going into HER account, by God.

9. Yep,
This lady doesn't "SHARE" with others, it has to be all hers or forget about it!

I think she might make a run, either for the republican nomination, or as you said, the tea party nomination, but only if she can make sure to "FUNNEL" a whole lot of that money to her family and herself! Once she has that all figured out she might run, or she will hold the republicans "hostage" threatening to run till they cough up the right "PRICE" for her not to run!

3. She isn't comfortable asking for money for the Rep Party.
When it comes to money for her, the asking starts at $100k !!

5. She doesn't trust herself to give the money she would collect to the RNC. . .
She has come to really enjoy being a multi-millionaire.
She wants to continue to make money ONLY for herself!
