It is just as likely that Wikileaks saved many lives.
My understanding is that "damaging the international relationships of the US" unfortunately translates into "damaging the ability of the US to forge internatinal consensus for agressive warfare".

From the released cables we now know that it is likely that a conspiracy was going on between the USA, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Bahrain and others to push for war with Iran. Now that it is out in the open, it will be much harder to pull off.

2. Of course it is!
But in the future you need to stay on message:

1. WikiLeaks is a threat to us all.
2. The focus should be on Julian Assange not on the documents.

4. I am convinced that Wikileaks is saving countless lives by unmasking the Beast
and seriously interfering with its perpetual war machine to conduct business as usual.

6. Precisely. And in the example of attacking Iran,

the cables show the political elites want to attack Iran.

Hillary Clinton claimed there was a consensus among "nations" but as Noam Chomsky pointed out, polls in the region show that Iran is not seen as a threat but US and Israel are by 75+%. So it's not "nations" that want to attack Iran, it's governments.

7. Having lived in foreign countries in the past that
were being exploited by US interests, I can honestly say that our State Department looks after monied interests mainly industries in other countries with no thought as to how they are destroying the local economy and environment. The State Department also has little interest in protecting the interests of US citizens abroad should they run afoul of the authorities. You are pretty much on your own. The embassies and consulates have very little interest in your problems while overseas.
