Bring back MDTA programs - the only federal jobs program that worked. 1963
I worked with a variety of jobs programs in the '60's and '70' and MDTA was the best. They ran a tight ship, unlike the infamous CETA program which came later, they had standards in terms of course content and requirements and turned out good job applicants who were able to go right into jobs.

e.g., the WPA.

The difficulty we have now is that the job market is shrinking now, rather than growing as it was in the 60s and 70s.
