1. Yeah, he gave up two years for the billionaires and got 13 months for the unemployed.
Shouldn't it have, at least, been equal?

3. It's OBSCENE to equate tax breaks for the rich with UI which
people need to survive. Even if it was 2 years for 2 years, it's all wrong. UI should never have been used as a bargaining chip.

5. So it would be OK with you if UI weren't extended? As long as it allowed us to "send a message?"
Republicans already forced UI to expire for a month, and it only passed because we swore in a new Senator from West Virginia. They would happily let them all expire again, this time for keeps.

8. RIOTS!
Last time I checked, 'unemployed' did not mean 'disabled'.

The Republicans are bluffing.

4. Oh, great.
My prediction: they've screwed us again and now they'll tell us it is for our own good again.

6. I wonder if the permanent upper class -- you know, the billionaires
who now can pass on their entire untaxed estates to their heirs -- will proclaim him king now?

Seriously, what's to stop them? He's given them everything THEY want, along with a few precious sops to the peasants.

You realize, of course, that these tax cuts are now essentially permanent. We the people thought we had a chance to repeal them, or let them expire, back when we had what we thought was a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate, a solid majority in the House, and Our Man in the White House.

Boy, did we ever get fucked.

How's that DADT repeal going? Huh?

How's that tax cut expiration going? Huh?

How's that public option going? Huh?

How's that closing of Guantánamo going? Huh?

Ya know, I like it here at DU, but I'm so angry now I could very easily write a whole lot of things that would get me TSed in a progressive heartbeat.

So I'll just shut up now.

10. Bernie Sanders just said he will do everything possible to stop this deal.
On The Ed Show MSNBC a few minutes ago.
