Elizabeth Edwards, the estranged wife of former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, has been advised by doctors that "further treatment of her cancer would be unproductive," according to a statement from the Edwards family.

A source close to the family tells CBS News, "She is dying." The source said Edwards would likely die within weeks and possibly days...

7. How sad..especially for the older daughter

Imagine the pressure she is under now.. Her intense loyalty to her Mom & younger siblings will guide her path for the rest of her life. She must be so conflicted now.. She will have to depend on her Dad, no matter how mad at him she might be, for ruining their family.

It's a lot to have to shoulder, at such a young age..
