Mind if I say something about John Lennon? |
|
I'd prefer it if we celebrated his life, on his birthday.
Celebrate his music, his quirky sense of humor, his love of life.
Don't celebrate or even memorialize the day a fundy wack job shot him.

1. So when's his birthday? |
|
I think I was 10 when he was assassinated but I'm not sure.

2. As a fan of his music, I agree completely... |
|
He was, however, IMHO, a real asshole most of his life.
I will still celebrate his gift, and I will always condemn that fundy asshat that shot him down.
I am a Beatles fan since age 5, and I will always love them all.

4. He could be an asshole, I agree. |
|
Especially when he drank.
He was human. He screwed up, he learned from his screw-ups at times.

5. It's hard not to remember. |
|
It was a day and a feeling that doesn't really ever go away.
I don't think about the fundy wack job, I think about the man we miss.

6. Yes, that night and the next day |
|
is something I can't forget. I have to remember - for my generation, it was like Kennedy getting shot. It made too much of an impact on my life.
