From the "Obama, Republicans reach deal to extend tax cuts, unemployment benefits" thread.

:boring:

A TEMPORARY extension of the tax cuts? TEMPORARY?

And MORE unemployment "benefits" to the chronically jobless? WTF?

The death tax STAYS?

MORE stimulus?

The GOP CAVED! This is NOT what we voted for?

This is a sell-out. The TEA PARTY IS WATCHING!

The GOP could have held strong, but the RINOS no doubt had something to do here. I get the feeling that the moderates wanted to rush this through before the next congress. We’ll see how negotiations go when these benefits expire.

Say hello to another year of 10% unemployment.

This will save the typical family $3000 a year, and Obama made a career out of claiming the Bush tax cuts only favor the rich and should expire?

2. We do not know what held out for. Unless WikiLeaks has transcripts. . .
. . .we do not know what deals were cut that could be talked about.

If the Defense appropriations bills get called and DADT & DREAM pass then we will know.

But the President nor the Republicans would come out and PUBLICLY attach DADT and DREAM to this.

6. They're selling out the majority of their constituents; those folks just don't get "how" yet.
