The difference between Democrats and Republicans:
Edited on Mon Dec-06-10 07:15 PM by PCIntern
when they 'lost' the election to Obama, many of the MSM pundits began to write the obituary of the Republican Party. what they failed to realize is that with that much money, they can't, they won't LOSE. Not a prayer...it's not in their playbook. They began the assault immediately on all fronts, and did we laugh at them with their 'lame' press conferences, their 'lockstep' conservatism, their 'idiocy' all exposed. What a bunch of losers, right?

Well, you can ask President Dukakis what happens when you don't counterpunch...and the Democrats did not even try to take their opposition seriously. Laughed at the Tea Party crap, dismissed runs from ultra-conservative lunatics and gave people like O'Donnell, Angle, and Palin lots of discussion time. Meanwhile, the stealth Republicans like those in my state, Corbett and Toomey(!) just went out and won the elections while everyone else was paying attention to the loony 'hot' babes...having discussions of whether they were humpable rather that focusing on what was really important. They were, of course, the distractors and the illusionists of the Republican Party convinced the electorate and the moran media that change was again mandatory.

And we're doing it yet again...right now. giving up without even trying, lambasting our own, playing into their hands. "Lots of locked threads tonight", I've read here.

Great...just great.

I just can't believe that we have no spine and just don't seem to care enough. Just frigging unbelievable that we posit that we have nothing after we had everything, and continue to hold the Presidency and the Senate. Can you imagine what the republicans would be doing in our place? They'd be ramming every POS bill into the House to embarass us and taking to the bully pulpit nightly. We, however, wring our hands and cry into our beer. Shameful...

2. They have been for years...that's not the point
the point is, that we are gonig to very very quickly lose a whole lot with people like Boehner and Cantor and the like running the show, and lose it irrecovably. with the Dems, we would slowly have an erosion and have some time to generate some pushback. Not with these other folks, IMO.
