That's not per family -- not per adult -- not per taxpayer -- that's per person. Average family size is 3.14, so that's ~$7000 per family. Now Obama tells us that failing to extend the Bu**sh** tax cuts will cost a "typical" family ~$3000. So, basically, we're putting ourselves in debt by $7000/family over the next ten years to save $3000/family come April 15 ? What sort of interest rate does that work out to ?

That's going to cost the average family $32,642.00 over a ten year period of time. Add the $7,000.00 the tax break for the wealthy will cost if made permanent, then the total bill comes to $39,642.00 plus interest per family.
