"The Significance Is Obama Blinked"
Edited on Tue Dec-07-10 12:11 AM by KingOfLostSouls
flipped to hannity to see what the enemy is.

they know obama is weak and they know they can get what they want

already talking about defunding health care and repealing it, etc etc.

the hyenas are circling and obama tucked tail and showed weakness. a paper tiger.

I'm really fucking tired of hearing how happy these guys are they won. they win, America loses. that's not what I voted for.

jesus christ, seriously, I'm willing to sit in a wheelchair for the rest of my life if I could donate my spine, just to shut dick morris' fat fuck mouth up.

peace for our time

all is well.

1. The significance...
...is that millions of people will be able to heat their homes, and feed their children, who otherwise weren't going to be able to do so.

I am sorry if your principles were damaged in the process. I am sure they are as well.

12. That's a fairly flippant response
Given the gravity of what could have happened to 2 million people and their families. You talk a lot about blinking, and winning, and losing. It may be useful to sit awhile and think about eating, heating your home, clothing your children, and paying the rent or mortgage, because 2 million people were going to be damn close to falling through the cracks on those things inside of the next two weeks, and the character of your responses suggest that you think that's a big joke.

8. They could heat their homes and feed their children with a
fucking JOBS bill. Not tax cuts that even the wealthy didn't ask for, while said people pick crumbs out of the carpet fibers.

Right now. In this Congress.

I'll wait.

25. It is 2010. We have 'controlled' both houses for 2 years
2 weeks to the turnover and this is the hail mary?

I applaud your optimism. I just don't share it.

26. I don't care if it's a Hail Mary...
...or the lyrics to 'Louie Louie'.

I will take any short-term fix short of the repeal of the thirteenth amendment that mitigates people's hardship.

I could craft better short-term fixes, but I'm not in Congress.

Until then, anything ameliorative is worth doing.

16. Every revolution...

...claims innocent victims, but in the long sweep of history, their sacrifice is necessary.

I am sure if we asked them, they'd admit as much.

One question -- what's the best memorial to them? commemorative stamp, or something tasteful and not too showy, on the Mall in Washington?

3. The truth is, Barack Obama is nothing without people like Sean Hannity.
Edited on Tue Dec-07-10 12:12 AM by Write Left
There's no reason to support Obama policies, but people can still find a reason to oppose Obama's enemies.

What would Obama be without Teabaggers?

5. They also "Know" that Barack Obama wasn't born in the US.....
Edited on Tue Dec-07-10 12:11 AM by FrenchieCat
Does that mean that you will repeat it?

See that's the problem with Liberals.
The Republicans didn't get permanent tax cuts,
the were unable to block Unemployment extension,
they had to cave in giving the middle class a 2% reduction in Prl Tax...
but all that anyone can do is talk about Obama and what he didn't do.

That sucks.....
and Hannity sucks,
and those who post what Hannity say,
well they don't smell so good either.

If you ignore the hyperbole, the gnashing of teeth, and the "we are doomed"
bunch of nothing talk......

Folks sit around, do NOT A FUCKING THING ABOUT ANYTHING, and expect everything.
How silly is that?
Where in the fuck are the grown-ups, cause they ain't here.

will get richer, but at least those who are unemployed will be able to put food on the table. that's more important to me than the rich and the repubs.

karma is a bitch and sooner or later it will hit the greedy bastards.

there's never been a line in the sand, there's never been a "NO"

punt on 3rd ain't even accurate, throw in the towel before the bells even rang to come out is more like it.

21. here's the problem
I'm not hating on obama for any other reason than I expected more of the man. he's a smart, intelligent, rational human being. hell, and he picked joe biden, my favorite senator, as his VP.

the problem is everyone making excuses for it, sometimes there are no excuses. its not simply enough sometimes to just take things as is. sometimes you have to hold your leaders accountable and hold them to a standard of greatness you expect out of them. a leader should lead with strength, conviction, determination, and a willingness to sacrifice.

so far, all we've been asked is to sacrifice so the republicans can have what they want.

it's been a disappointment to see someone who should have a higher standard applied to them simply throw down their hands to get punched every time. if he doesn't want the job anymore, quit. if he doesn't have the will anymore, quit. its better to have a leadership crisis than simply just go along with the shit that mitch mcconnell is shoving down onto everything.
