...In this most recent episode, a woman who has blindly championed the NRA and legitimized her frontier-woman status by claiming to be a "lifelong hunter" comes across as anything but.

For starters, Palin and pa head out on a long hunt without bothering to sight in Palin's rifle, a mistake no serious hunter would ever make. Why Palin's dad chose for her a "varmint rifle" for a caribou hunt and why Palin, an admitted "moose hunter," would not question such a gun's appropriateness is never answered. ...

....On Palin's own Facebook page, a viewer wrote, "What a joke. I was a fan before the show. No one who is a true hunter lets others carry their rifle or can't load their own shells. Sarah, you are a phony in this area of your 'skills."

Several others wondered why Palin, an experienced hunter, didn't bring her own rifle, pointing out that familiarity with one's weapon is a core principle of hunting. Another pointed out, regarding Palin's veteran hunter dad, "I was surprised to see him using the gun as a walking stick."....

Well, she's at least consistent- Just as good at hunting as she is at governing!

1. I haven't watched the show at all,

but Gryphen at The Immoral Minority commented on what must certainly be the most stupid caribou in Alaska who didn't run when it was (allegedly) being shot at. It seems doubtful that she was really hunting at all.

So I am sitting here watching this ridiculous show, and Palin is firing shot after shot at a caribou who is simply standing on the top of the hill as if he either has a death wish, or is too stupid to respond to a loud bang in the middle of the wilderness.

I have never heard of any animal that did not run when people started shooting in its direction.

Five shots later, and after changing to a different gun, Sarah finally makes a kill.

I am sorry, but I call bullshit on this whole episode. Nothing that I am seeing is ringing true to me.

Is Gryphen sure that was a true to life caribou (who are just as skittish as a zebra) or a deaf reindeer on it's last leg (real sporting or euthanasia, take your choice.)

9. I saw a five minute clip, and she knows nothing about hunting or guns.

It was essentially a canned hunt. They set it all up. All she had to do was place the cross hairs on the target, with the rifle supported by what appeared to be sandbags, and shoot. And we still only have their word for it that her shot actually took down the animal.

She had no business firing a weapon, as she is clearly untrained on the use of firearms.

She's a total liar about all aspects of her life. Trying to act like the "normal average American family"! Not all mothers put their children and family into the limelight to have them thrashed to pieces... not all american women lie to attempt to get what they want. Not all american women try to persuade people that she is a down-home type of person. She lies to try and get votes and backing and that is it. It's no wonder that her daughters are getting pregnant at such an early age- they have noone to teach them morals, ethics, or anything other than do whatever it takes to get what you want, no matter what you have to lie about, what you have to bring yourself down to (nothing in palin's case since she is the lowest of the low)... the family should be written off. All those even bothering to watch that BS program are simply depleating their brain cells and allowing filth into their minds. I sincerely hope for the democratic party that not many watch the show. She most likely has some subliminal message over her show to try to persuade people to vote for her. She is out to make our great country hers and hers alone... in all aspects.

15. Palins lack of familiarity with firearms is obvious even in the opening credits of the show.

"Hey Dad, does it kick". If she had actually fired that rifle before she would know about it's recoil. Its just beyond stupid to take a rifle hunting that you haven't even fired before. Notice also that she needs "Dad" to cycle the bolt, which is something every shooter learns on day one.

You can see both her and Bristol jump when the they are shooting go off. Its obvious that the Palin women are inexperienced with firearms, but Jesus H. Christ, they are downright unsafe with them.

In this clip she talks about Alaska like its the only state that does wildlife management. She talks disparagingly of the "East Coast", but there is probably a greater portion of hunters in GA than Alaska. Including my cousin, who is a hunting guide and sets up canned hunts for people unfamiliar with hunting like the Palins.

You can also see how her and Todd are unfamiliar with fishing in the "fish gutting" episode. The Palins are looking so bored and shaken sitting on that boat after they set their salmon nets. The people they pay to do the actual fishing surely would have been more natural/comfortable there. "Tahdd" says something like "if the fish aren't hitting today we'll go do something else". And that's just what they did, they caught about 8-10 salmon and gave up fishing for the day. Way to run a business and be a "hardworking commercial fisherman" LOL
