There are some profiles in courage in our Congress.

Perhaps there are not enough? But there are many courageous people in this Congress. Almost all of them are Democrats.

I would love to see Nancy lead the House to oppose this raw deal negotiated by this White House and the Republicans. I would love for her to tell both of the Parties to go back and try again.

I don't expect it to happen but do not despair. There are many still willing to fight. Everybody has not surrendered.

I fear though, that they are vastly outnumbered, by the sort of people who will stop at nothing to get what they want...

I hope that our folks will prove to be much tougher than I think they are...

You never know what someone will do when their backs are to the wall...
