Could Obama make DU's mission obsolete? |
|
Edited on Tue Dec-07-10 04:45 PM by whatchamacallit
There is no doubt this board has it's heart in the right place, but if this crazy rightward march continues, DU's mandate and democratic philosophy might end up at odds. Just sayin...
Edit - bad american grammar :)

3. DU was around long before anyone knew who Obama was |
|
And I am confident that DU and its mission will outlast Obama's tenure in the White House.

8. Isn't that a matter of choice, rather than |
|
a question of prophetic proportions?
It seems obvious that current events will act as a springboard and will provide strong inspiration for expanding choices and enriching the spectrum of thought here. We have many flexible and intelligent people who may actually be here because they want to know more about what is possible.
Don't let me be the one to suggest that this is a fertile and fruitful pivot-point where the shock of recognition yields more learning and understanding and unity than was thought possible before.
How much effect and influence can regular, thoughtful communication have? We may find out ... especially ... now!
