It's clear that Government wants transparency and info flowing in ONE direction only.
Their hands in the public's pants, private communications freely accessed, banking records, medical records, etc. etc.

But Government transparency? Anyone who dares to expose wrong doing of those in power will be dealt with harshly. Accusations of treason and calls to be 'hunted down' by party leaders.

Unbelievable what's going on right now. And I'm mad as hell over it, but like most people don't quite know what to do. It's certain that all those letters to my congress critters are nothing more than a piss-in-the-wind joke on me.

1. The holy and mystical
incantation of National Security assures that our lives will be declared and made more transparent and government will retain and attempt to increase opacity.

That's what WIN is about. It may become more apparent that the security is just as much about us as it is any abstract demon they evoke as a justification for Draconian measures.

So, we would all want a decent and pragmatic sense of security, not matter how illusory that may actually be. Our estimation of the gravity of that basic need is inflamed to the point where the small print on just what the price is for the security provided and how it will be imposed.

2. Was just talking with a friend
who was remarking how quickly Julian Assange was apprehended, relative to Osama bin Laden... really stark demonstration of priorities

3. That needs to be be stated far and wide.
I almost threw up reading about idiot Palin's hateful tweet that he should be 'hunted down like Osama Bin Laden.

We've really gotten to the 'two minutes of hate' thing, haven't we?
