We have a tenant in National City who can never pay her rent. She's about $4,000 behind (the owners know) and she has a big family. It's heartbreaking and we all have not been able to evict her because we felt bad.
I now have to do so, but I am hoping I can help her get on track with some sort of housing assistance program. Do you guys know of anything? Or maybe some other kind of assistance so the money they do make can go to her rent. I'm trying to do section 8, but not finding much. Any ideas?
She doesn't speak much english, and I don't know if she's a legal resident. She's been there for years before we started managing it. I want to help her. If I evict her now, it'll be right around Christmas that she'll have to move out.
Thanks for you help!

I know this is a link to an emergency housing (HUD) site, however I would contact them, as Im sure they know the best options for help! Good luck and I hope everything turns out well for her and her family. http://www.hud.gov/local/ca/homeless/shelters/sdgshelter.cfm
