The rich will not suffer either way on having tax cuts or not but the poor and middle class will
if their taxes go up. Along with some of the other booby traps on SS.
It is painful to watch Obama today. You are damned if you do and damned if you don't. You realize that going one way hurts the majority of the Country. You realize that no matter how you decide, the rich are not affected either way.
The obvious problems here are glaring. The Republicans are so totally guilty of shitting on everyone other than their small group of friends.Do you think the (less perceptive) Country now sees this? Or do they just see everyone yelling at the President? Do the papers talk about the Republicans greed and selfishness and conniving or do they just echo all the screaming at the President.
I am asking what you think? I am in no way defending his decisions as I think there are fatal flaws but I am observing what appears to be misguided anger by both some of the public and also the President.

1. It's a total damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.
1. Cut everyone's taxes. Break campaign promise. Piss off base.
2. Raise everyone's taxes. Break campaign promise. Piss off everyone else.

5. So is it over? Game over? We loose forever? Is that our only option?
Doesn't appear that we have any options unless there is a social awakening of massive proportions on attacking the Repubs and Corporations.
What does one do without the votes to change things or the people to back up anyone who might be chosen for President.
Sometimes I feel that the Repubs could hardly wait until Obama got into office. How satisfying it must be for those that are so very racist to bring down the only black President.

4. We are not giving the rich a tax cut from a budget surplus of money.
We are borrowing money to give them a bonus tax cut.

The middle class and poor WILL SUFFER from this stupidity both immediately AND in the long run.

If you have to borrow money to help the unemployed, that's one thing.

But to borrow money to help millionaires and billionaires is plain and simply wrong.

7. So you say "fight" for it! Fight for either no tax breaks or just some for the middle.

6. I Agree
"They" had promised to do NOTHING, to block EVERYTHING they were to accept or decline. In other words they were going to lock this country in total deadlock if they didn't get their way and they KNEW that Obama would be the fall guy no matter what he did. If this country went to its' knees he would have been blamed. People would say "He could have done SOMETHING." On the other hand he did SOMETHING,which angered many in his own party and the brats are getting what they wanted all along and enjoying the fact that Obama got in trouble for it. They never seem to look like the bad guys except for those who are very perceptive, those who are down and out and many who do not live in this country.

8. Yeah the 'powers that be' LOVE rubbing our working class faces
in it. The worst is that the 'powers that be' are GOPukers and a small group of them...yet somehow they control the flow of the agenda in Washington DC. Pathetic.
