The misnamed Bush tax cuts are far more than the top marginal rate, and I'm kind of surprised nobody wants to talk about the rest of it.
The 5% increase in capital gains (back up to 20%) for those in the top marginal rate is what they're really concerned about.
A 3% rise in your $500K salary only amounts to ~$15,000, but paying another 5% on the capital gains you take with your $20M portfolio can be hundreds of thousands, and if you're really rich it could be millions!
