what is your favorite December/Holiday cookie? |
|
Edited on Wed Dec-08-10 01:54 AM by mrmpa
2 of my favorites are nutmeg logs and the other Walker shortbread cookies. Haven't had the nutmeg logs in years, mom couldn't find the recipe, but thanks to the internet they are being created tomorrow.
Figured I'd post this because the alternatives are very depressing.

10. I used to make those in cooking class at high school |

I've been wanting that recipe because they were delicious. Only difference is no pecans. We rolled sesame seeds on top then powdered sugar. I am going to try this and see if they taste the same.

7. Rumballs & my sister's Christmas shortbread. |

The recipe has been handed down 5 generations and apparently only one or two women have the knack to make it come out right each generation. I know I've tried it several times and it's good but not the real stuff.
