30 years since John Lennon died
What kind of world would this be if we had this great man around. R.I.P. John, you will never be forgotten. Kick in remembrance to this man who wanted nothing but peace.

Peace
max

1. Imagine
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

13. He had a wonderful gift
For cutting through the crap and getting his message out. Brilliant, how many of his songs spoke of peace and injustice in such a beautiful way? Now his words are being used to sell crap people don't need. Gone 30 years, and....he was only 40 years old.

Peace
Max

4. The World...
...would have been the same. I have long since stopped believing that one person can change the world - it takes millions of people.

Only the music would have been different.

He seemed like a very special person and was very tragic when he was murdered.

5. Understood
He had to voice of his and younger generations. I was 11 when he died, and I believe in his messages. There has been no one of his stature to speak out and give voice to the powerless. One man cannot make a difference, but Lennon had millions and millions that believed in him. Sad part, no one came to fill that void.

Peace
Max

6. Yes, the reality is that the world would pretty much be the same.
He would have inspired some and made others feel better, and he would have made some great music, but he would not have changed the world.

10. That's so true
One man can't change the world. However, see U.S. v John Lennon. TPTB wanted him gone, because they feared he could spark a revolution. Lennon dies and we get Reagan. That is a shitty deal any way you slice it.

Peace
Max

14. A great loss for all of us.

I was angry for many years about his murder.

My favorite Beatle, and favorite rock star.
