DiFi: Julian Assange 'should be vigorously prosecuted for espionage'
from the Wall Street Journal:

By DIANNE FEINSTEIN

When WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange released his latest document trove—more than 250,000 secret State Department cables—he intentionally harmed the U.S. government. The release of these documents damages our national interests and puts innocent lives at risk. He should be vigorously prosecuted for espionage.

The law Mr. Assange continues to violate is the Espionage Act of 1917. That law makes it a felony for an unauthorized person to possess or transmit "information relating to the national defense which information the possessor has reason to believe could be used to the injury of the United States or to the advantage of any foreign nation."

The Espionage Act also makes it a felony to fail to return such materials to the U.S. government. Importantly, the courts have held that "information relating to the national defense" applies to both classified and unclassified material. Each violation is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

No doubt aware of this law, and despite firm warnings, Mr. Assange went ahead and released the cables on Nov. 28. .........(more)

3. Sounds like her and McConnell (R-scumbag) are on the same page
He thinks Assange is a 'cyber' terrorist. Maybe Diane thinks Assanage should be interrogated at GITMO?

6. Since I have lost 95% respect for this Sen - I want to tell her that I don't
care what she thinks or claims. I only care what she does and she is a pusher for the people who are making us a third world country,

Does anyone know if she also has her money offshore?

The 5% is for the good questions she has come up with in hearings in tha past.

I have no hope for her as a Senator who is for the people first.

So I think I will stop reading her press releases like this one.

SHE IS JUST ONE OF OUR SENATORS WHO DOESN"T WANT ANYTHING RELEASED THAT WILL SHOW WHO SHE REALLY VOTES FOR.

8. Since when do we write law that applies to Australians in Europe?
Regardless of how much they'd like it to be otherwise, Assange's actions were perfectly legal, being done outside the USA.

9. The rule of law is DEAD to me and others
As long as Cheney and Rove are not prosecuted, the rule of law means nothing. Eric Holder's words about seeking justice are empty and hypocritical.

15. Avert your eyes, good citizens!
The impending wikileaks release of the DiFi sex tapes is nothing you want to see.

Her sordid nights with the War Machine... :o

This is a warning. What has been seen cannot be unseen.

17. Fuck you, DiFi, you neocon.
I can't wait to vote that piece of shit out of office. Btw, i reserve my curse words for some of the worst of the worst, and she is that. Her hatred toward sick people using cannabis as medicine is just as bad.

Where are the Democrats that will stand up for wikileaks? Why is Ron Paul the only one? where is kucinich???

20. DiFi should be investigated for the no-bid war contracts
to what were essentially shell companies with little cashflow owned by her husband, Richard Blum.

The contacts were in 8 figures.
