1 for 1 - My Challenge to you today!

The President told us that WE are the Change that we have been waiting for. He did NOT say that HE was the Change that we have been waiting for! If we had all and could all RISE UP and get enough REAL Democrats who are on the side of the Working Man and Woman elected and able to help the President and if need be Make the President pass laws that protect US instead of the super Rich that the Republicans work for , IF we can use all of this Disappointment and Righteous Anger and mobilize to get another 10% of us Democrats to the Polls to Elect as I said REAL Democrats then and ONLY THEN can we make the change we Need! These Democrats who will defend the value of work and the Dignity of every American no matter how poor or well off will create a Wave of Change so Deep and so Wide it will life our President up on it's Crest and carry him to the shores of Success. We won't have to beg him to fight harder or push him in the direction we want we will simply let our actions and voices carried forward by the Real Democrats we elect create the Wave of Change we all want and worked so hard to bring about in 2008!



Can we create this Wave of Change sitting at home and sharing bad news and complaints on Facebook?

We can sit here and complain on Facebook ALL wee want and it is as helpful and meaningful as a fart in the wind in my opinion. OR we can organize, educate then Activate and get it done!



We Need REAL Democrats not the Ben Nelsons and Mary Landrau's who pretend to be on the side of working people but Real Democrats who support the dignity of the Teacher, the Fireman, the Nurse, Waiters and all the other hard working people who make this Country work every single day!



We in the "Safe" States like California where I am have to target the critical Key Swing States where most of the opposition to our Presidents Platform and Our Parties Principals come from. All of us, like a laser beam focused on getting the Ben Nelsons of the Country ousted and getting 61 Real Democrats Elected! Yes 61, 1 for good measure!



So remember please President Obama is not the One we've been waiting for, each of us are!



Change happens 1 committed activist at a time taking one action and then activating and rallying 1 more person beside them. This is how you start a Wave of Change. Not by complaining but by taking one action a day. Phone someone, write a letter, submit an idea for helping your community, State or Nation to a group working for positive social change! Join your local office of the Democratic Party and work to improve it from within!



To paraphrase someone, never every doubt what a few committed unrelenting activists can get done working together!



While I have faith in the Presidents Heart and Intentions, I do not in his understanding of the art of Negotiations and of the people like Axlerod who advise him.



But beyond that I think it is ill advised to rely on or depend on the President alone to get done what we want as he alone can not do what we need as we just saw. He needs a Filibuster proof Senate and now will not even have the House to help him so his only tool is using Executive Orders.



That leaves US. You and I and millions of others that believe in what I think you and I agree on. It is up to us to use the next two years to rally the angry Progressives and the Defend the President at any cost Moderates into one Giant Wave of Democratic Will! We must register every College student and every man and woman in the Democratic Party and get at least 61 True Democrats elected. The House will follow. This I think is Our ONLY Hope.



We will never do any good simply complaining on Facebook or even saying don't worry it will all be alright. In my view both things are equally ineffective!



Educate yes! but then Activate!



I challenge you all to start by accepting a principle of 1 for 1.For every 1 complaint or statement of "Everythings Fine stop complaining", you include 1 action your taking to register Democrats or support a Candidate you believe in or include one idea of how to make things better!



1 for 1. Consider yourself challenged!

1. I've elicited promises from the people I know to contact their Senators and

Congressperson TODAY. Every little bit helps.

I've contacted mine, but was just gearing up to contact them again. Yesterday I wasn't getting any answers, just that they hadn't made a final decision, so I'm going to see if any of them are waiting to take a stand today.

I have concern about Patty Murray because I'm thinking she'll feel she owes Obama and Biden for helping her with her recent campaign.

I think it is actually one for all, and all for one.

And why would you want to challenge someone, and why would you think someone would care about your challenge?



I already posted many corrections, so actually you need to implement them before commenting on other things. And I don't do challenges. I am not fighting anyone.

just passed along a page I had found on Facebook.

You can take the challenge if you want. If we must complain, I figure what harm is there is providing something positive along with the complaint? At least that would be a pro-active solution.

4. So Obama says we are the change and that he listens to the people??

Then why does he go around telling lies??
He says that the American people support what he has proposed
when all the polls I have seen tell a very different story.
Upwards of 67% of American people support tax cuts for the upper
3% to expire.

He is a man that I can longer believe, he tells lies
and then does what he wants anyway.

He told us he would lead this country forward, and then
he does the opposite. Is he saying if we can not take this country
back by votes we need to take it by force??

What is he really saying?? When you find out, let me know.
