Now's the time to make the calls on DADT! It is vitally important that people in the states I listed talk to Snowe and Collins, Kirk, Lugar, Brown, Pryor(D), and Murkowski!

You can get contact info for your congresspeople here: http://www.congress.org/congressorg/directory/search_results.tt?action=cong&last=&party=&chamber=S&state=&submit=GO

Do not hesitate. Today is the day to act on the issue we have been talking about for years. Tell your senators to allow debate on DADT!

For all the talk about political pressure, these urgent calls to action drop like flies and barely manage 5 recs.

WTF!!

This is an urgent call to action. You must call your Senators now.

5. Probable 'yes' votes
Edited on Wed Dec-08-10 04:21 PM by Tx4obama
Republicans:
Olympia Snowe - Maine (maybe)
Susan Collins - Maine (maybe)
Scott Brown - Massachusetts - YES
George Voinovich - Ohio - YES
John Ensign - Nevada - YES
Lisa Murkowski - Alaska - YES

Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Illinois) is a 'MAYBE' - http://www.metroweekly.com/poliglot/2010/11/kirk-takes-office-dadt-repeal.html
Sen. Lugar (R- Indiana) changed from 'yes' to 'NO' - http://gay.americablog.com/2010/12/looks-like-weve-lost-lugar-on-dadt-he.html

Democrats that have gone from a no/maybe/undecided to a probable 'YES': Jim Webb (VA), Blanche Lincoln (AR), Mark Warner (VA)

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) remains “undecided”/'no' - http://gay.americablog.com/2010/12/sen-manchin-d-wv-using-bogus-argument.html

UPDATE: December 8th - Sen. Mark Pryor (D-AR) is now a 'YES' - http://wonkroom.thinkprogress.org/2010/12/08/pryor-dadt-2
