What is your opinion about the result of the Impeachment Hearing of Judge Porteous? |
|
This is an open question to anyone who watched the proceedings.
Especially, I am particularly interested in your reflections if you also watched the Senate trial in September, where witnesses testified under oath and were subject to cross examination.
Do you think "guilty" on all four counts was warranted based on the merits of the case?
Do you think any of the counts were a stretch?
How would you have voted on the separate counts?
Were you surprised by how particular senators voted on the articles?
Any opinions, comments, observations are welcome. I found this process fascinating, but also puzzling in many respects. Look forward to finding out what others are thinking tonight.

1. Yes. I watched all of the hearings. Turley did an excellent job (as one would |
|
expect) trying to defend Porteous. However, having listened to all the witness accounts, I must agree with the guilty verdict on all four articles.
