Imagine if it were another Country threatening to kill, imprison, create new laws |
|
in regards to making demands/arrangements (no matter how) that they receive a person into their custody. To apply any or all of these loud vocal threats upon a person's life. I tried to put myself outside this Country (I wish!) and look back at us and I would not hand Assange over at all to a Country that makes it clear that they will do what they want with him. Let alone not even being able to report news on this even remotely accurately. I see Sweden or any other Country for that matter, complicit in any thing that happens to this man should he end up here. He did not steal the information and maybe or maybe not is a Whistleblower, There are indeed illegal activities coming out that every Country's people should care about. We look like a Terrorist Country with all the hate spewing and death threats on this man that people like Palin and Leiberman scream over the "world". These people are an embarrassment and might do more harm to our reputation Internationally. The Fourth Estate in this matter is coming up against the "core power person(s)" it does appear.

3. What planet do you live on? |

There are lots of nations in the world who do this. Not saying it's right but let's not be naive in thinking that the world at large is a rosey, glowy utopian vista.

6. Actually it reminds me of North Korea or Iran's belligerent statements. |

You don't really hear many other Countries threatening death so much like some of our "leaders or speakers" are doing.

5. The ruling parasites of the world are taking notice. |

I think this apropos, once again;
"Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. Surely some revelation is at hand; Surely the Second Coming is at hand. The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out When a vast image out of Spritus Mundi Troubles my sight: somewhere in the sands of the desert A shape with lion body and the head of a man, A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun, Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds. The darkness drops again; but now I know That twenty centuries of stony sleep were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle, And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?"
William Butler Yeats - 1920
The center has let go and the owners are hoping against hope that they can keep the lid on it enough that we won't notice.
They built a defective profit extraction machine and have applied so many patches on it that the patches are patched and now they're trying to cover the whole thing up with a tarp that we have to pay for...

8. This furor over these charges is unprecedented. |
|
The notion that this debacle is about some alleged impropriety in Sweden is absurd in the extreme.
Interpol putting the man on their Most Wanted list is all you need to know. What a charade.
This is about showing the world they can go get anyone anywhere in the world and make them pay for the crime of not obeying the powers that be.

11. We don't just look like one, we are one |

Terror is raining drones on innocent people who are just trying to get on with their lives, bombing wedding parties, dropping cluster bombs from the skies. If that's not terror, what is?
