Furthermore, Newt thought it was a way of blackmailing Clinton into doing what the Republicans wanted. That was a more important reason that having a snit over the seating on Air Force One.

But Clinton didn't move and, again you're right, the Republicans were pilloried.

It was devastating for the Middle Class in my area.

It's one thing to engage in a conversation and even to passionately hold a belief and to express it but honestly what I see here on DU more and more is a blind unwillingness to see anything good in Obama and disrespectful, hateful attacks that I might expect from the right but not here. Do we really think the world is so simple that all one man has to do is come into office and suddenly everything is going to be not just better but perfect and that the definition of perfect will be exactly as we individually define it?
