There is no way out of pancreatic cancer
It's one of the worst of them all. I just buried a friend whose pain started on September 4th.

9. Thanks
He didn't even know he was sick - he was careful with his diet and exercised regularly. He looked fitter than most people his age. He was a wonderful man.

I hate cancer so fucking much. And if we didn't have these murderous, useless wars and this determination to give ever much more to the rich who don't give anything back, how much money could we invest in research to defeat the human race's worst enemies? How many meaningful jobs would be created in the fields of medical research, hunger and poverty alleviation, green technology and environmental repair...?

It just kills me. Sometimes I think the human race as a whole deserves to die for our short-sightedness. But then, the worst effects manifest first in people who have done nothing to deserve it.

5. Yes and no
For the person suffering it is quick; for those who are about to lose someone it is horrific.

13. Me too, and yes it is. Six months of pure hell for my mom.
Pain and nausea while you starve to death (the pancreas is vital to nutrient absorption).
